Hungarian Hospital Adventure This morning, I was feeling like I had a cold coming on, or maybe sinusitis, but the congestion was only light and only caused infrequent sneezes. I was incredibly hungry. I ate a hearty breakfast of oatmeal and apples and promised myself I'd stop at the Church Garden restaurant for goulash soup and cordon bleu. Those plans all failed at 11. I was listening to my students share their end of term reflections and we were on the topic of anxiety. All the sudden, I felt hot and faint and was having a difficult time focusing on what my students were saying. The next thing I knew I was sitting on the floor and my students were standing around me, saying, "Are you all right?" They said I was only out for half a minute. During that half minute, one ran to get the school nurse, another called an ambulance.
